The gallery displays the specimens of minerals like Iron-ore, Manganese ore, Chromite ore, Bauxite, Limestone, Dolomite, Quartzite, Graphites, Fireclay, Kyanite, Vanadiferous, Magnetite, Garnet, Copper, Radioactive minerals, Monazite and different other colourful minerals etc., types of rocks i.e. igneous, sedimentary and metamorphic Charno kite, Khondolite, Talc, Sandstone, Marble, Soap-stone, and Quartzite working models of coal mines, dioramas depicting mechanized iron-ore mines, models of Rourkela Steel Plant and maps of Odisha showing the centres of mineral deposits.

The plant fossils of 200 million years old and a log of 300 million years old collected from Talcher (in the district of Dhenkanal) and Phulbani are the important pieces which attract the attention of the visitors.Among the items of display are also the mineral products such as crucible, a product of Graphite, glass of Quartz, Fire bricks of fireclay, Aluminums of Bauxite and Iron-ore of Pig Iron and Cast-Iron. Ferromanganese, Ferrochrome, Silicon, cast iron plates and Asbestos form interesting part of the display in the gallery.
