Hoolock or white brewed Gibbon (Hylobates hoolock)

Is an example of the only clan of apes inhabiting our country. The gibbon is tailless but he uses his long arms as a balance to swing from one branch to the other and to run along the heavier bough. The height of the gibbon is 3 ft. and weight is about 6-8 Kgs. They lead family life in hill forest and feed on fruit, leaves, insects, spiders, etc.
