By its richness of colour it resembles very much the Odissi style of colour compositions. No fairs and festivals in Odisha go without a dignified canopy. Canopies, umbrellas, Trasa, Adheni are a few old collections in the gallery. The fragments of an old canopy from Digapahandi depicting horses, elephants etc. are also attractive pieces. Pipli in the district of Puri is swing through the ages as the centre of applique work.
