Though Mostly fashioned out of wood, masks occupy a dignified status in the gallery. The wooden painted masks depict Rama Ravana, Angada, Rakshyasa, Hanuman, Bull head, horse Head, Ganesh etc. the wooden masks depicting t he figures of Ramayana are very much folkish in form and conception. The paper masks mainly used in "Desiya Nata" by Adivasis, collected from Jeypore in Koraput district have been painted in bright colours. The women masks (go under the name of Rakshyasi) very much resemble with the tribal facial appearance.
